Glen Etive Elopement by Scotland Destination Photographer TheDogwood Collective

We traveled to Scotland in May of this year, and it was the dreamiest and most beautiful place we have ever traveled to thus far. We still talk about selling everything and moving here one day. Anywhere we went had breathtaking scenery and even the rainy days were magical. If you are looking to have a destination wedding, I highly recommend Scotland. Your choices are limitless here, and everything is within driving distance.

For this shoot, we chose Glen Etive for the elopement location. Before we began we stopped at Glencoe Mountain Lodge for a quite bite to eat. They have the cutest places to stay over night and a chairlift that can take you to the actual ski resort. After we finished breakfast, we met up with our sweet coupe and took the one lane curvy road into Glen Etive. We followed it all the way until we reached this gorgeous Loch. We explored and admired its beauty and didn’t mind one bit when it started to sprinkle.

Before the rain started to pick up, Blythe went and got changed into her beautiful dress, and we hiked, ran around, explored hidden gems, and danced until the rain had us all soaked. Looking back, it is so funny to me how literally none of us cared that it was raining. We embraced the chaos and it made the day and experience that much more magical.
