A beautiful fall wedding in Hot Springs by Arkansas Wedding Photographer: The Dogwood Collective
I’ll warn you, this post is a long one. There were so many beautiful moments during the day, and I want to showcase their story fully instead of just the highlights. I did ask Chris and Julia to write up a short bit to explain why they chose to get married in Arkansas, at the beautiful glass chapel in the woods, Anthony Chapel, but other than that I will let the images speak.
“With us both being in the wedding industry in New Orleans (Chris as a photographer/videographer) and myself as a planner we really wanted to go somewhere outside of our city to get married. And we really wanted somewhere with nature. A place that didn’t feel like a city. Chris shot a wedding in Eureka Springs just before we got engaged and when he showed me how beautiful this glass chapel was we fell in love with it. Then we found out that there was an almost identical version in Hot Springs. When we saw this one we fell even more in love. Chris proposed and once we started thinking of where we wanted our wedding to be we had no other choice. We knew Anthony Chapel in Hot Springs was where we were getting married. It checked all the boxes for us. We decided to have a smaller wedding because we really wanted to spend time making memories with our families and loved ones. This we knew would have been more difficult with a larger group of guests. So we kept it small and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. From Chris walking in to his own song at our ceremony (has a been a dream of his for years) me walking in to The Office theme song, and us both walking out to a song from our favorite movie Hot Rod. To our hand picked quotes for each guest from The Office and one of dear friends dressing up as Dwight Shrute. Chris dancing with his moms to a pretty edited version of Dear Momma by Tupac and one of our best friends shooting the whole day on Super 8 film. Our day was literally quite amazing and unique in every sense of the term. It will be a day that we will never forget. Also doesn’t hurt that we had some incredible photographers there capturing it all for us!”
