Lately I have been inspired by wild love, fire, and a little rebellion. When I first started planning this shoot, I was actually knee deep in planning and organizing my first Styled Bridal Shower Giveaway–which I can’t wait to blog, btw. So if you want to know what my life has looked like over the last few weeks picture a girl who loves the sea so much but has exhausted herself to the point of almost drowning, but instead of swimming for shore, she takes off into the other direction to catch the next wave. Thats me. I don’t encourage others to push themselves to this point, however, I have grown tremendously through it and don’t regret a single thing!
I was so lucky to partner with and work beside some of the most creative lady bosses, and besides waiting for the dress to arrive, we made this shoot come to life in literally a few days?! Leah, of @27RuedeFleur foraged exclusively from her garden (WHAT?!) to create our beautiful centerpiece and bouquet, and got her hubby all dressed up with her to model as the maid of honor and best man! Aubrey, who just started her own Design business, Raven and Brook Design Co, brought amazing rentals and design pieces that matched my vision perfectly and was able to design all my thrifting pieces better than I ever could have done myself.
Setup was.. interesting. When I had went out to the spot a few days earlier, the sandy area was clean and wide open, (how crazy to have a beach in Fort Smith, Arkansas?!) however after a few days of rain, my spot was almost completely flooded. I had a mini meltdown, but then everyone graciously agreed to muscle-up and carry everything (over a lot of jagged rocks) to the spot I wanted. I could cry again just thinking about it all. Seriously, my friends are the best. OH, and then fire dancers came out and stole the whole show. They are so freaking cool, and can perform at any event! Thank you all so much for making this dream a reality!
