Arkansas Elopement Inspiration by The Dogwood Collective

Its hard for me to put into words how I am feeling, due to the current pandemic. I never anticipated living through and raising a family through something like this. I never imaged running a business through something like this, and I know thousands of couples never imagined trying to plan a wedding through something like this. The pandemic is scary and it’s been heartbreaking for so many people.

All around the world, couples who had planned their weddings for this spring are now having to postpone their weddings due to Covid-19, while others are choosing to cancel completely. Both are completely understandable choices, and I want to offer an alternative route for those couples who want to continue to say their vows on the original date, and that is to elope! *Once the stay at home orders are lifted*.

If you have to change your full wedding day to an elopement, it does not mean you have to sacrifice the special moments that you were looking forward to. It can actually be an opportunity to spend more time together and celebrating each other in ways that are unique to you. And your other vendors may still be on board to help make your day full of magic. You can still have a first look, a first dance, share your vows and then invite all your friends and family to celebrate with you guys at a reception at a future date.

For this shoot, Mo and Gracie woke up, watched the sunrise together, made cinnamon rolls, and then drove from their cabin to Steel Creek Campground where we staged a sweet setup and pretended to exchange vows. The day was simple and sweet, and if this looks like something you would be interested in, reach out. I want to help you have the wedding day of your dreams in the midst of all the chaos.

What an incredible session of these two! You also gave such great advice to couples figuring out what to do in this season of the pandemic.

Love how you told their story so completely! The set-up with the tent is such a cute idea! Love the addition of their dog! 🙂
